Privacy Policy

Last updated May 2026

This policy explains what information Olmoro Studio collects through olmoro.com, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Who we are

Olmoro Studio (“we”, “us”, “our”) is a web development studio based in Mangalore, Karnataka, India. This Privacy Policy applies to personal information we collect through our website, olmoro.com, and through enquiries you send us. For the purposes of India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, Olmoro Studio acts as the data fiduciary responsible for the information described below.

This policy does not cover the privacy practices of our individual clients or of third-party websites we may link to. It also does not replace the specific data-handling terms agreed in a signed project agreement, which take precedence for project work.

Information we collect

We only collect what we need to respond to you and run our studio. This falls into two categories.

Information you give us. When you submit the contact form or email us, we collect the details you choose to provide, which may include:

  • Your name and business or organisation name
  • Your email address, phone number, or WhatsApp number
  • Your project type, budget range, and the project details you describe
  • Any other information you include in your message or attachments

Information collected automatically

When you visit the site, our hosting provider and analytics collect limited technical information automatically, such as your approximate location, IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view, referral source, and access timestamps. This is used to keep the site secure and to understand aggregate usage.

We do not ask for, and request that you do not send us, sensitive personal data (such as financial account numbers, government identifiers, health, or biometric information) through the contact form.

How we use your information

We use the information described above for the following purposes:

  • To respond to your enquiry and answer your questions
  • To prepare a scope document, proposal, or quote for your project
  • To communicate with you about a potential or active engagement
  • To maintain our business, accounting, and tax records
  • To operate, secure, and improve this website
  • To detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, or technical issues
  • To comply with applicable legal and regulatory obligations

Legal basis for processing

We process your personal information on the basis of your consent (which you give when you voluntarily submit an enquiry), our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries and protecting our site, and where necessary to comply with our legal obligations. You can withdraw your consent at any time, as described under “Your rights” below.

Sharing and third-party processors

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing. We do rely on a small number of trusted service providers who process information on our behalf, under their own terms and security commitments:

  • Resend, which delivers enquiry emails to our studio inbox
  • Vercel, which hosts this website and processes server and security logs
  • Our privacy-respecting analytics provider, which measures aggregate site usage

Disclosure required by law

We may disclose your information if we are required to do so by law, court order, or a valid request from a government or regulatory authority, or where disclosure is necessary to protect our legal rights, safety, or property, or those of others.

International data transfers

Some of our service providers store and process data on servers located outside India. Where your information is transferred internationally, we rely on the safeguards and contractual commitments offered by those providers to keep it protected to a standard consistent with this policy and applicable law.

Data retention

We keep enquiry information for as long as necessary to respond to you. Where a project proceeds, we retain relevant information for the duration of our engagement and for a reasonable period afterwards to meet accounting, tax, and legal obligations. When information is no longer needed, we delete it or anonymise it.

How we protect your information

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to safeguard your information, including encryption in transit (HTTPS), access controls, and reputable service providers. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You share information with us at your own discretion.

Your rights

Subject to applicable law, including India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you have rights over your personal information. These may include the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information
  • Request deletion of your information, subject to our legal obligations
  • Withdraw consent you previously gave for processing
  • Raise a grievance about how your information is handled

Cookies and analytics

This site uses only essential cookies and privacy-respecting analytics. We do not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking. You can control or block cookies through your browser settings, though some parts of the site may not function as intended if you do.

Children's privacy

This website is intended for businesses and adults. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 18 through this site. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us so we can remove it.

Third-party links

Our site may link to external websites, including our own products and clients' sites. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of those websites. We encourage you to review their privacy policies before sharing information with them.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or in the law. When we do, we will revise the “last updated” date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
